NGWA Equipment Design Award is presented to Group Chairman Niels Due Jensen

GRUNDFOS PUMPS CORPORATION GROUP CHAIRMAN RECEIVES EQUIPMENT DESIGN AWARD FROM THE NATIONAL GROUND WATER ASSOCIATION
ORLANDO, FL – December 5, 2007 - Group Chairman Niels Due Jensen of Grundfos Pumps, Corp. was awarded the Equipment Design Award from the National Ground Water Association (NGWA) for the company’s SmartFlo™ SQ and SQE pump systems.
The Equipment Design Award recognizes an individual for outstanding contributions through service, innovation, research, safety, and outstanding projects of scientific and technological importance affecting the growth and well-being of the ground water industry. NGWA is a nonprofit organization comprised of more than 14,000 U.S. and international ground water professionals—contractors, scientists, engineers, equipment manufacturers and suppliers. The organization provides guidance to members, government representatives, and the public for scientific, economic, and beneficial development, protection, and management of the world’s ground water resources.

Award recipient Due Jensen, son of Grundfos founder, the late Poul Due Jensen of Bjerringbro, Denmark, has served the Grundfos Pump Corp. for most of his adult years. His service comprises many roles including the company’s key position of Group President and CEO from 1980 to 2003. Product development, with the application of new and innovative technology has been Due Jensens’ primary focus, and his involvement in the application of advanced electronics in pumps led the company to renowned success. Due Jensen holds a wide range of honorary offices in his community, and for his contributions in education and research, along with his ideals and activities associated with social, environmental and economic responsibility, is widely known and respected in the corporate sphere—not only in his community, but throughout Denmark. Due Jensen holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering. Among his accomplishments, Due Jensen was the driving force behind the Grundfos SmartFlo™ SQ and SQE systems. Offering constant water pressure in any home, irrigation, or small commercial application, the pump’s variable speed motor technology delivers optimum power supply, matching pump speed to varying demand for efficient pump operation. Robust electronics provide ease of operation and dry run protection assures the reliability and long life of the pump.
